Driver Ed Classes
What happens after I complete the program?
Once you finish the Driver Education program, you'll receive two certificates:

DMV Certificate - Use this to apply for your Tennessee License. No appointment is needed to go to DMV to convert your permit into your License.

Insurance Certificate - Give this to your insurance company to receive a possible discount for completing a certified Driver Education course.
Keep both certificates in a safe place-they're important!
Do I need a permit to start classes?
No permit is required to take the driver ed class. The student must be at least 14 years old and up by the first day of class.
What happens if I miss a class?
If you miss a classroom session, it cannot be made up, and it will affect the required 30 hours needed to complete the Driver Education course. Missing more than two classes (4 hours total) means the course will be marked incomplete, and you may have to restart the class if not completed within six months.
For Behind-the-Wheel lessons, you can reschedule in advance at no charge. However, same-day cancellations or no-shows will result in a $65 rescheduling fee.

Policies
What is your refund policy?
ALL SALES ARE FINAL AND NON-REFUNDABLE. We do not offer refunds. All deposits are non-refundable and non-transferable. A student may switch classroom sessions and apply that deposit, but it will not be applied to any other student or sibling.
How old do I need to be to start driver ed?
You must be at least 15 by the first day of the driver ed class.
How long does it take to complete driver ed?
The completion time depends on age, scheduling flexibility, and instructor availability. Typically, each student is done with the classroom portion and behind-the-wheel within eight weeks. Teen requirements include 30 hours of classroom instruction and six hours of behind-the-wheel time. We meet the full requirements that the State of Tennessee mandates for testing and will not take any shortcuts in the program. Please don't ask us to shorten the program. We will not violate state policies and procedures in any way!
Do I need a temporary license to start driver ed?
No, If you are 15 yrs or older, you don't need a permit or license to take our driver ed class. To start driving lessons, you must be under 15 and have completed the classroom portion. A valid permit or license is only required for the road test.
Do you charge a cancellation fee?
If you fail to show up for a lesson or do not cancel or reschedule on our website at least 48-hour advance, you will be charged a $65 late cancellation fee.
Behind-the-Wheel Lessons
Does classroom have to be completed to start behind-the-wheel?
Yes. Once you have completed the class and have your permit, you can schedule your driving lessons through our website.
How do I schedule a behind-the-wheel lesson?
Log in to your student account on our website. Choose an available time and your preferred instructor
Can I use my own car?
No, our vehicles have safety features (passenger brake, passenger mirror, student driver signs, etc.) that don't come in standard cars.
Are your instructors licensed?
Yes, each of our instructors is licensed by state to teach classroom and behind-the-wheel training to all age groups.
What if I need to cancel or reschedule my driving lesson?
Should you need to reschedule a lesson, you may do so by logging into your account on our website. You must cancel or reschedule at least 48 hours in advance to avoid a $65 late cancellation fee.
Can I request a specific driving instructor?
YES. Our scheduling software let you see all available driving lessons and who is teaching them. If you preferred instructor is open, you can select them for a lesson.
Can I request to have lessons with a friend?
NO. Each session are individually scheduled and administered with a certified instructor only
Will I have other students in the car with me?
YES, but we do offer private lessons as well. We offer observation as part of our program, but no more than two students will have the same lesson.
What will I learn during my behind-the-wheel lessons?
Driver will learn how to check the fluid levels that affect the performance, safety, and longevity of their vehicle. Our curriculum follows the AAA How to Drive program, and enhances the program with additional video presentations. The importance of following all traffic laws and the consequences of not following these laws. They will learn basic abilities of starting, stopping, reversing, making basic left and right turns, etc.
Do you offer home pick-up and drop-off?
YES, We pick you up at home or school for the in-car driving lessons, for a small fee $35 per class, upon request or situation.
How fast can I complete behind-the-wheel lessons?
It depends on your scheduling flexibility and instructor availability. You can take one 2-hour behind-the-wheel lesson each day and schedule up to three driving lessons in advance. You must have one practice day between lessons. So you could schedule Monday to Sunday. Once you complete your lesson, you could schedule another upcoming lesson.
When can I start the behind-the-wheel lessons?
You can start driving lessons any time as long as you have a valid learner permit or driver's license. You can schedule driving lessons on our website once you have registered and paid in full. If you are under 18, you must complete the driver ed class before you can start behind-the-wheel lessons.
What safety equipment are your cars equipped with?
All cars are equipped with a passenger-side brake pedal for the instructor.
Do I need to have my own car insurance for behind-the-wheel?
No, you are covered under our commercial insurance during all behind-the-wheel training.
